K2 'Bumblebee' uses Kepler's hybrid serial-parallel actuation — planetary roller-screw linear motors paired with rotary joints — to hit high torque inside a low-cost frame, with an eight-hour runtime. Revealed at GITEX 2024, it entered customer testing at the SAIC-GM plant in Shanghai from April 2025, and Kepler announced the start of mass production and customer shipments in September 2025 at 248,000 yuan (about $35,000) per unit, with framework agreements covering several thousand units. It carries 52 body degrees of freedom, 11-DoF rope-driven hands (96 tactile points per fingertip), and a dual-arm payload of up to 30 kg.
