A cable-driven humanoid you can order for $18,000.
The T1 is Astribot's compact, developer-focused humanoid — the more affordable sibling of its high-speed S1 flagship — pairing a pair of human-scale, cable-driven arms with a wheeled mobile base rather than legs. The cable-driven architecture is designed for compliant, dexterous and fast manipulation, and the robot ships as a full physical-AI platform: SDK and API access to joint control, Cartesian motion, whole-body coordination and sensor data, plus Astribot OS skill libraries and the company's Lumo-2 foundation model, which has driven autonomous tidying of deformable objects. Astribot brought the T1 to North America for the first time at IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh (September 27–October 1, 2026) with US pricing from $18,000 — an order-of-magnitude below most Western humanoid list prices — and orders open now with immediate delivery. The T1 does not learn on its own in the field; Astribot gathers operation and teleoperation data, retrains Lumo centrally, and pushes updates over the air.

Astribot is a Shenzhen-based physical-AI company founded in 2022 by Lai Jie (ex-Tencent Robotics X and Baidu) as a subsidiary of Stardust Intelligence; it has raised more than $100M from backers including Ant Group and Matrix Partners China. Its 'Design for AI' approach co-develops three layers as one system — its Lumo reasoning-and-action foundation models, an embodied operating system with SDK/API access, and a fast, cable-driven robotic body. After its high-speed S1 flagship, Astribot now sells the compact, wheeled T1 and brought it to North America for the first time at IROS 2026.
