BYD is the world's largest maker of new-energy vehicles and a top battery producer. It entered humanoid robotics through an embodied-intelligence team formed in 2024, betting that its in-house batteries, motors, and power electronics let it build service robots at automotive scale. Its first humanoid, Xiao Di, debuts in 2026 as a showroom greeter.
