Apptronik adds $520M Series A-X at $5.3B valuation, pushing total Series A past $935M.
February 11, 2026 — John Deere, AT&T Ventures and Qatar's QIA join Google and Mercedes-Benz to fund Apollo's scale-up ahead of a new robot debut.

Apptronik disclosed a $520 million Series A-X extension on February 11, opened at a 3x multiple of its earlier Series A valuation and lifting the Austin company to roughly a $5.3 billion post-money valuation. The extension follows a $415 million oversubscribed initial Series A in 2025, bringing total Series A financing above $935 million and total capital raised to nearly $1 billion. Existing backers B Capital, Google, Mercedes-Benz and PEAK6 returned, joined by new investors AT&T Ventures, John Deere and the Qatar Investment Authority.
The investor mix is the signal worth parsing. John Deere and AT&T Ventures are strategics with concrete industrial and infrastructure use cases, while QIA brings sovereign-scale patient capital — a combination that suggests Apptronik is being underwritten as a deployment business, not a science project. CEO Jeff Cardenas said the round funds ramping production of the Apollo humanoid, expanding commercial and pilot deployments, and building dedicated facilities for robot training and data collection, plus 'the newest version of Apollo' set to debut in 2026.
Apptronik's differentiator remains its customer roster and its AI partnership. It has inked work with Mercedes-Benz, GXO Logistics and Jabil, and holds a strategic partnership with Google DeepMind to build next-generation humanoids powered by Gemini Robotics. That DeepMind tie places Apptronik in direct architectural parallel with Boston Dynamics, which announced its own DeepMind partnership weeks earlier at CES — a reminder that the frontier-AI layer is coalescing around a handful of labs even as the hardware field stays fragmented.
For the market, the raise underscores how capital is concentrating in the small set of humanoid firms with named enterprise customers and credible manufacturing plans. CNBC framed the round explicitly as Apptronik arming itself to beat Chinese humanoids and Tesla's Optimus to market. With a new Apollo imminent, training infrastructure funded, and blue-chip logistics and manufacturing pilots underway, Apptronik enters 2026 as one of the best-capitalized Western pure-play humanoid companies.
